The Yonex R & D department has utilized the benefits of hybrid, cavity back and bladed clubhead designs in developing the NEW Nanospeedi irons.
Hybrid Irons (#3, #4, #5) - The traditional long irons in the set are replaced by " easy-to-hit" hybrid irons that feature a hollow head design with a maraging steel face. The Nanospeedi hybrid irons allow for increased forgiveness, higher launch and unmatched distance and consistency. The tungsten weight inserts at the heel and toe provide an increased moment of inertia (MOI) and a lower and deeper center of gravity (CG). Players who prefer a conventional iron design have the option to replace the hybrid irons with a Nanospeedi #4 and/or #5 iron.
Cavity Back Irons (#4&ndash#9) - The conventional irons in the Nanospeedi iron set feature a graphite cavity back design for improved feel and better control. The carbon elastomer cavity insert ensures that the high repulsion face delivers the maximum distance and foregivness while incorporating a "forged-like" soft feel. The 4-corner tetra weight construction expands the "sweet spot" through an increased MOI and lower CG that complements the tungsten weight inserts at the heel and toe.
Half Cavity Irons (PW, AW, SW) - The wedges in the Nanospeedi iron set feature a half cavity head design for excellent spin performance and "blade like" balance for "pin-point" accuracy.
